"What are the funny barcodes for?"

If any of you can echo this question overheard the other day by a puzzled onlooker trying to figure out what to do with the 'barcode' poster in a window, here's the secret! Most of the windows are displaying a QR code poster (the funny barcode thing!) either in their window display or nearby outside. If you have a smartphone, then simply turn on your camera and point it at the barcode (you don't need to actually take a photo - yes, alright, I might have done this the first time I came across a QR code!). You should see a website pop up on your screen which you can click and this will take you to the extra activities available online for that day. If you don't have a smartphone, then take a note of the 4-digit code printed on the poster and you can go to https://www.adventurewheatley.org.uk and type in the code to reveal the activity for that day. The codes don't work until the day that the window illuminates, so you can't cheat and look ahead! There is a brilliant variety of material to be accessed via these QR codes - Christmas carols sung by the children of our local schools, quiz sheets, brain teasers, Bible readings of the Christmas story and much more. If you miss a day, don't worry - we will post the links to each week's themed material once the week has ended. You can find Light and Justice at https://www.adventurewheatley.org.uk/week-1-light and https://www.adventurewheatley.org.uk/week-2-justice
